Dr. Anastasiya Quimby is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with special fellowship training in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction. She is dedicated to providing excellent care to head and neck cancer patients and strives to maintain this as the central focus of her practice.
Dr. Quimby completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Biologic Science. She then moved on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating number one in her class.
Upon graduation, Dr. Quimby decided to pursue a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and matched into her top choice, University of Florida in Jacksonville. There, she completed a rigorous combined Medical Doctorate (MD) degree (2017) and 6-year residency (2019). During this time she quickly developed an interest in head and neck oncologic and microvascular reconstructive surgery. She became the first female accepted into the University of Florida Jacksonville Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction Fellowship, headed by Dr. Rui Fernandes, and completed the fellowship in June 2020. While in residency and as a fellow, Dr. Quimby published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, contributed book chapters, and presented at national and international conferences, something she continues to do today.
After completing her specialized training, Dr. Quimby spent time as a faculty member at Nova Southeastern University in the College of Dental Medicine working as a surgeon and mentor to numerous residents. Her desire to serve each of her patients and their family members with the highest level of personalized care led her to open her private practice in 2022. Here, she is dedicated to managing complex cases by keeping the surgical process transparent so that her patients always feel empowered in their healthcare.
Aside from her practice, Dr. Quimby serves as an editorial board member of the Journal of Diagnostics and Treatment of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, a reviewer for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Cases, an editor of the Clinics of North America Perspective on Zygomatic Implants issue, and an author and editor of Perioperative Management of Complex Head and Neck Patients.
